R.I.P.

So this is our third post on this news but my (ann's) first. Please excuse me if this is too much.

Truly the loss of an inspirational mind and an amazing creative genius who pushed the bounds of fashion and drew beauty from it.

Why is it that inspired and inspiring genius is often accompanied by pain and anguish? This is our compromise.

All I have to say is, I'm shocked.

I Still Can't Believe He's Gone

Alexander McQueen was truly, truly a creative genius, challenging the ideals of beauty and creating incredibly beautiful pieces. His immense contributions to the fashion industry will be remembered forever. RIP Lee Alexander McQueen. x

An open letter to the fashion industry (sorry if it sounds insensitive and/or selfish):

EVERYONE- before you decide it's too much, or you just can't take it; just pause. think about your precious life. your beautiful, ingenious work or contribution. fine, even your uber hot shoes will do. you may not realise but it means stuff (in different amounts) to others. just randoms who fangirl your collections or latest editorials. influential and famous people too. not everyone thinks you're just a tool of the industry. seriously. WELOVEYOUWELOVEYOUANDAPPRECIATEYOUSOFUCKINGMUCH.

and if you really have to do it: dont hang it's really gross =_=

Grandma Update

Just a quick heads-up, one of those thought-you-might-liketa-know things, except it's cooler since my grandma's involved. Seriously.

I have officially sent that grandma bag to my grandma, and she just loves it. My grandma's a real grandma!!

Abzz Lee x Vogue Australia

I died a billion times when I saw this ed, so much so that I now own a hard copy. Abbey Lee is amazing and so is her bubblegum pink hair.

what to do.

That was the question which passed through my mind when i found these babies:

(So, yeah, I'm pretty bad at taking photos and my phone sucks. I don't even have a proper camera.)

I remember buying these two little jade teardrop beads a few years back, and regrettably I've forgotten the shop. I do remember that they had old tarnished Chinese coins (ones with square holes) and other types of jade beads, as well as some jade statuettes, so I will have to scour Chinatown and find that shop again :D

Any ideas on what to do with these? I was thinking about putting them on the ends of a lariat. What kind of lariat, i have no idea. Perhaps just linking them to the ends of a silver chain will be nice.

Drop an idea if you have one :D I'll post a follow-up about what I do with them, regardless, so yeah.
