McQueen over two

I have finally bought those black satin flats to make these McQueen shoes (which are now old news but still awesome):

(top shoe)

Now I just need to buy silver safety pins. I mean, you'd think little 2 centimetre coiled safety pins would be easy to find but nooo, they only have gold ones. I always thought silver was more common. Huh.

Luckily though the flats were only AUD$10 :D

Hoping your holiday season is serving its purpose,

ps. aren't those chanel flats fab too?

flying glasses

That's what I think of when I hear the word 'aviators'. Today I bought a pair of them. Unfortunately, they didn't have wings.

I was going to get a pair of unpainted metal frames but alas, the only pair of unpainted glasses left was missing a nosepad... Perhaps I can do something about the paint. Would paint thinner work to get rid of it?
Before I forget, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Slightly Tipsy New Year!

brace yourself!

I don't know why I'm saying that. Well, I mean I made a bracelet. Pretty sad pun, eh :D

I used opaque black and transparent peridot green seedbeads on 0.23 mm wire. Might a post a tute later on, but for now here it is! Out of the blue. I think it's pretty alright. :D

have fun!

Kohl is cool.

Alliteration ftw~

Anyway, on my Xmas wishlist is this awesome Guerlain loose terracotta kohl liner because it's awesome and makes a very defined line which surprisingly lasts quite a while! From all the rave reviews on the net it seems like the product du jour. And I spotted it at David Jones the other day, tried out the colours on my hand, but sadly it sells for a suicidal price. But who knows? It's Christmastime, miracles might just happen.
have fun (especially since it's the merry season)!

Shoulderpads.

Wow. It's been a while. And it feels like even longer because this morning, I discovered this late-eighties-early-nineties shoulderpadded baby, tucked in the corner of a musty wardrobe underneath a flowery 80's dress.
Sorry about the horrid picture quality, but I'll hopefully make up for that with wordiness. It's a fitted deep blue dress that comes to about an inch above the top of the knee, and it's quite flattering for those who don't really have curves - as in it makes the waist look smaller. Those sleeves are beaded (see the picture below?) and they're made of some kind of translucent crepe-y material. Sparkly :P Plus it has very thick shoulderpads which stick up badly if you raise your arm. :D

Top half there. Reminds me of this dress I saw on one of the girls in Guy Sebastian's song, 'Like it Like That'.

What do you think of it? Should I fix it up nice and put it back to use?

have fun!

gym class heroes like their studs.

Get load of this crazy jacket worn by Travis McCoy on the set of 'Open Happiness'! Shiny stuff :D

Travis was part of a collab project for the song 'Open Happiness' along with a handful of other artists. If you're wondering what it is, here's a link to the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxfkg3RaRjs

Yeah, it's a marketing scheme for Coke. But look at that insane jacket!

confessions of a lazy, unmotivated knitter. + buy a white shirt!

Do you remember that tofu pincushion I said I would make? Yes? The one with a face? Yes? Well, I have a confession to make. I've really only done one side :( I know, I'm terrible at committing to stuff. My (poor, very poor) excuses are that I have no black yarn to make the face so I should just wait for it and that I was busy experimenting with increasing/decreasing stitches. But of course that's completely illogical because I can still knit the other faces with the cream yarn I have and plus experimenting was finished two months ago. I do apologise, and hopefully after exams I can finish the rest of it.

On a lighter note (and possibly more helpful) if you live in Australia, be sure to buy a white shirt from Witchery. You can't go wrong with a white shirt and 100% of proceeds will go to research into ovarian cancer, so get out there! On top of that, it's an excuse to go shopping :D

Apologies, and get shopping!
